Arbor day observances at Dillon included a school program led by fifth grade students with songs poems and readings about forests trees and spring. Despite limited tree supply the ceremony proceeded as pupils planted a single tree and later 8th grade and high school students enjoyed a picnic in Ryan's canyon though rain dampened some festivities.

Miss Kate Lewis learned her brother Joseph H. Lewis lay gravely ill at Twin Bridges and he died of pneumonia the next day. He was 85, born near Glasgow Missouri, lived in Montana since, leaves many relatives, and was laid to rest at Mountain View. Also reported are a Butte woman Sophie Peterson stealing a watch and attempted suicide, and Mrs Louis Shauney alleging her husband killed their baby last March.
