Madison County Settle Order and Road Viewers Appointed

County records show a settlement order increasing the officer’s pay to 75 dollars per month starting March 1. J. D. Brandenberg et al filed a road change proposal near Big Sheep Creek Canyon to shorten the route and avoid an icy hill. Bart Hungate, Clarence McGee, and Charles E. Calvert were named to view the new county road. A long list of audited claims against the county was approved with detailed sums for surveyors, mileage, supplies, and county services totaling over 15 thousand dollars, with migratory tax, general and bridge fund allocations noted. The board adjourned March 21, 1911.
