Accident at Ranch Fatal to Well Known Ranchman
Matthew Fabac of the Fabac ranch west of Apex died at Barrett hospital after internal injuries from a fall Thursday afternoon. He slipped while climbing a ladder, moved to his home, crawled to reach help, and was transported Friday for surgery which failed due to peritonitis. Funeral held Tuesday at the Catholic church with burial in Mountain View. brothers Charles Helena and Martin Butte and a sister from Great Falls attended.

Dillon schedules a city election for April 5 with a preelection caucus to nominate four aldermen for the four wards. Mexican Says Was Fleeced 60 Bucks
Pedro Alarcon, a member of the local Mexican colony, told Sheriff Mooney he was swindled by 60 dollars and personal items. Mrs. Ollie Hardcastle and Bill Scarbush were jailed for obtaining money under false pretenses, pleaded guilty, and received 90 days in jail after a $25 fine. They promised to leave town and were released. Martha Brown, thought to be related, also pled guilty to vagrancy and received 90 days with departure conditions.

Handball stars Hartwig and Melton compete in state meet
W B Hartwig and George Melton returned from Great Falls where they played in the state handball tournament. Both failed to reach the finals amid strong new rivals. Beaverhead County pioneer John F. Bishop observed his 90th birthday last Sunday. Dillon friends visited to wish him well, noting his long life, health, and prominent role in Montana's early development. He arrived in Montana in 1863, freighting in Bannack, later ranching in Beaverhead, and with Richard A. Reynolds drove Montana’s first bands of sheep from Oregon in 1869.

Well Known Centennial Valley Rancher Passes
Beaverhead post of the American Legion offered a $50 reward for the arrest of vandals at the Boy Scout clubhouse after a malicious act. Henry C. Wetmore, prominent Centennial valley rancher and sportsman, died at his hunting lodge after a brief illness.
