Minstrel and Vaudeville Offer Sparkling Hartwig Show

The American Legion fourth annual Minstrel and Vaudeville opens Wednesday and Thursday at 8 15 pm in Hartwig theater. A 50 person cast features Terry Browning Alvin Jones Sylvester Hirschman and David Hier with solos by Hier Morand Waterman Sprinkle and Cunningham. Frolics and Follies led by Connie Martin, a six teen voice mixed chorus, and Terry Browning’s Ells Island Mystery headline a two hour program with an eight piece orchestra accompanying the acts. Reserved seats available at Hughes & McCaleb’s.

Beav erhead Pioneer Matron Elizabeth Ashbaugh Dies at 91

Mrs. Elizabeth Ashbaugh, one of Beaverhead county’s oldest pioneer women, died at 91 after a long illness. Born February 21, 1838 in Yonkers New York she married Samuel Ashbaugh and moved west in the 1860s. The couple settled south of town on a ranch later owned by the family. Surviving are her daughter Mrs Carrigan and grandson Victor Carrigan. Funeral services were held at St James Episcopal church with burial at Mountain View cemetery.
