Editor Clara Adams of Dillon Examiner Dies at 7:30
Clara E. Adams longtime editor and sole owner of the Dillon Examiner died at her Dillon home after a brief illness of pneumonia. Born June 29 1888 in Dillon she led the weekly paper nearly 40 years and built statewide recognition in Montana journalism. She is survived by her mother four sisters a brother and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be at St James Episcopal Church at 2:30 this afternoon with Rev H N Tragitt officiating and burial in Mountain View Cemetery.

Renfro and Peterson Take Honors at Shoot
E W Renfro of the Dillon Gun Club won the Pacific zone trapshoot at Spokane, scoring 198 of 200 in the finals from 15 yards. Frank Troeh of Portland finished second and Renfro placed third in the handicap. Herman Peterson of the Dillon Club won Class C in the two day Spokane event and was named manager for the upcoming registered trapshoot here on July 4.

Hoppers Threaten Crops In County
Ranchers in the southern county met at Dell Friday evening to plan against a hopper outbreak. Hoppers are hatching near Dell and along Rock Creek by Reichle, reported to County Agent Bernard Williams. A crew began mixing poison bait Saturday for distribution in infested districts as ranchers cooperate to curb spread.

Alleged Forgers Taken in Idaho
A man and a woman charged with forging several checks last month on four Dillon businesses were arrested last week at St Anthony Idaho. They are held on federal charges and were taken to Salt Lake City. The county sheriff said the woman admitted the charge and the pair face possible trial in federal court or could be returned for local trial if not convicted.

Trapp Held in Dillon Jail Over Pipe Theft Probe
Y A Trapp is in custody on a charge of stealing about 500 dollars worth of iron pipe from the Boston Montana property in Ikhorm district. He was arrested in Butte last week and brought to Dillon by Sheriff McCollum for investigation. Several others are believed involved. Mr and Mrs Frank Lightfoot and Mrs Elizabeth Clemon were in Dillon from Jackson on Wednesday.
