Beaverhead County Board Meets June 2 1924 Handles Roads
Beaverhead Montana county commissioners met June 2 1924 in regular session. They approved May 5 minutes, accepted a new road piece in section 18 14S 1W owned by C E Hunt, closed old right of way, and billed Madison and Silver Bow counties for bridge repairs. They appointed viewers for a new road petition, filed the Minneopa dam report, relieved gopher exterminators, granted leave for Miss Alice Roe, canceled Pacific Coast Gypsum contract, inspected Beaverhead canyon and Mooney bridge approaches, and processed various bills and reports including delinquent property deed, old age pension for Nelson Ferguson, and several deputy sheriff claims.

Death Comes Day After Arrival From East
Mrs. Fannie McHose dies at her son Eric McHose's Dillon home after a brief illness. She traveled from Grinnell Iowa to attend Normal College commencement where grandson Harold McHose was in the graduating class. She was over 82 and fell ill shortly after arriving by train. Burial to be in Illinois.

Cowboy Ties Bear With Rope on Range

A butcher shop and a grocery store are due to open in Dillon this month. The butcher shop, to be run by Richard Cosgrove, will occupy the Helena street building once used by T. K. Julson and will be modern and ready by month end. Skaggs United Stores plan a Dillon branch under Mr. Blue, joining openings in Butte Anaconda and Deer Lodge, targeting June 21 at the Beaverhead State Bank site in the Phillips Apartments. Road work has begun between Harlem and Dodson.

Fire alarm Turns Out Minor Blaze

Mill to Close as Wheat Supply Fails
Beaverhead Milling Company president Mr Charles I Meine announced the plant will shut down on June 30 due to exhausted local wheat. Manager Joseph T Leimert resigns after two and a half years but stays until August to wind up affairs.
