County Commissioners Grant Telephone Franchise In 1896 Montana

The Sheaverhead County board meets in regular session June 1 1896 in Dillon Montana. They approve road supervisor bonds and J A Clinton Dan Gutting J P reports. Emerson Hill granted a telephone line franchise with a 2000 bond. The day includes bill approvals and adjournment to June 2.

Democratic Delegates Elected in Beaverhead County Convention

Beaverhead county Democrats met in Dillon to select eight delegates to the state convention with temporary officers Mayor Padley and O K Paul. Resolutions urged free coinage of silver at 16 to 1 and adopted the unit rule. Delegates include Murray Padley Norris Cochran Poindexter Hill Clinton Browne with several alternates named.
