Water Works Franchise Upheld for Dillon City

Ordinance granting Joseph H. Lawrence and associates a water system franchise in Dillon Montana was renewed after publication oversight. Plan includes 100 foot steel standpipe, 1,000,000 gallon pumps, a Murray spring relay, and a brick 40 by 80 building on Railroad avenue with Keefer directing construction. The city to lease 20 hydrants for 20 years at $100 per hydrant annually.

A U W Grand Lodge Organizes In Montana Region

The Ancient Order of United Workmen in Montana formed a new grand jurisdiction at Helena led by D Sup M W J W Kinsley. It reported over 1 909 members at organization and has surpassed 2 000. Missouri and New York show large January assessments and Massachusetts posts the biggest November membership gain at 427. Illinois and Missouri push for active deputies as biennial sessions are discussed.
