Sun Dust Creates Radio Net Shielding Earth

Electrified dust from the sun forms an atmospheric envelope about the Earth at about 100 miles up that prevents wireless waves from escaping. Prof J A Fleming of University College London says this dust screen acts as a wireless speaking tube allowing long distance waves around ten miles long to travel 6,000 to 12,000 miles. Without the screen wireless energy would not cling to the Earth and would pass off into space.

How Big Is an Electron Millikan’s Oil Drop Experiment

An American, Professor Millikan of Chicago, measured an electron by observing tiny oil drops about 110,000th inch in diameter in a chamber between two controllable plates. Illuminated and viewed through a telescope, drops rose or fell by adjusting plate voltages, picking up and losing electrons. He inferred the electron charge from the effect of a single added electron.
