Death of Prof J E Clayton renowned metallurgist
News from Spokane Falls confirms the death of Prof J E Clayton age 70, a prominent western metallurgist. Native of Georgia, he had long ties to Montana enterprises and died yesterday from injuries sustained in the Cur d'Alenes stagecoach accident. His body will head to Portland for interment where his family resides.
