Used Textbook Sale At Normal College Aids Students
A large sale of used volumes from the Normal college textbook library will run this week to clear space for new autumn quarter titles. Textbooks cost about ten cents per volume and remain mostly complete though worn. The college charges a two dollar quarterly rental, with each student issued from six to thirty volumes and updates titles as newer publications arrive. Miss Myrtle Savidge of Flint Michigan has been hired to teach dramatics replacing Miss Mary Sands who leaves for Yale. Savidge holds degrees from the University of Minnesota and Emerson College, plus an MA from Wisconsin, and brings nine years of high school teaching, including four in Flathead county. The college adds dramatics space and expands the old library into a larger property room and lab, using the upper old library area.
