Pioneer Ranchman George Mudd Dies in Dillon
George Thomas Mudd a well known Beaverhead county ranchman died at his Dillon home after a year long illness. He came to Montana in 1883 and ranched in the Big Hole basin. Born October 16 1849 in Sweet Home Texas he married Gabrilla Shumate in 1889 and left four children. Services were held at the First Baptist church with interment in Mountain View cemetery.

Heavy Fine for Game Law Violations in Dillon Case
Mr Isachson of Butte was arrested in Horse Prairie by Deputy State Game Warden Charles Price. In Dillon he pleaded guilty to possessing a fish net and using a non resident fishing license. Judge Phillips fined $200 as a warning to future violators.

Butte Hosts Mammoth County Celebration and Holiday Outing
The city emptied as hundreds visited outing spots in the county and joined a large crowd in Butte for a major celebration. Elkhorn springs drew many vacationers with dances at the attraction, while Othens families traveled to Birch Creek and other streams for fishing. Weather was mild with rain not dampening Elkhorn festivities. a large crowd attended the Butte fight Monday afternoon.

New Rector Engaged for St James Dillon
The Rev. C. H. Parlour has accepted the rector post at St. James Episcopal church in Dillon Montana. He and Mrs. Parlour plan a European trip and expect to arrive in Dillon in September. Parlour previously led the Malta mission field last summer and fills a vacancy since March when Rev. Bennett departed.

SEXTETTE ARRESTED FOR VARIOUS CHARGES NEAR Reichle
Sheriff Dan Mooney Special Agent Ben J Brown and Undersheriff Kellum raided a boxcar at Reichle construction camp arresting two women An nie Maxwell and Edith Matson and two men Ralph Arias and Ysidro Congs. Maxwell and Matson faced statutory charges fined 25 each. Arias pled guilty to liquor possession bound over to district court 500 bond. Congs pled not guilty to white slavery bound over 4000 bond. A Chevrolet car was confiscated under liquor transport statute. Wells and Mae Amaya were arrested on outskirts and pled guilty to statutory charges with Mae Amaya fined 50 and Wells 25. Wells faces driving without license.

Commissioners Hold Short July Session
County commissioners met Tuesday and adjourned the following day after completing routine business. J. E. Shaw and C. C. Gosman attended from their districts with A. L. Anderson of Dillon. Shaw was authorized to gravel Miller lane in the Big Hole basin. Surveyor George Metlen was directed to obtain a permit for 15 000 feet of timber from Jake's canyon for construction. Sheriff Dan Mooney was instructed to remove the special deputy at Armstead after railroad work in that area was completed.

Storms Damage Roads Across County Causes Flooding

John Toy of Butte revisited the Feather ly ranch north of town and the Stodden brothers, founders of the ranch, saw an old family photo. His father was a Bannack pioneer who mined early gold, and Toy owns a ring made from that gold before leaving Dillon for a motor tour of the state.
