Photography as a Pastime and the Dark Room Influence
The article extols field photography as a superior outdoor pastime that refines the mind and eye, contrasts it with rougher sports, and praises the dark room as a source of enduring joy. It warns against casual snapshooting, notes landscapes as photography's poetry, and foresees a future when educated men value dark rooms alongside libraries. It ends with a note on a Potsdam bridge failure due to rigid bridge members and temperature effects.
