Weekly Market Report from Omaha Cattle and Hogs
Since the last report the cattle market is weak with a 15 to 25 cent range on the general run and a larger decline for warmed up stock. Demand is slack due to lack of refrigerator cars and rail capacity, with better activity in choice feeders and high end cattle. Hogs set a potential record week with heavy receipts and bids around 5.70 to 5.90, top 6.00, while lamb and mutton trade remains slow with no near term improvement expected.
