Six Dog Teams Thrill Dillonites At Winter Carnival
Six dog teams and their drivers, halted in Dillon on their way to Idaho points from Anaconda, gave an exhibition race around the paved section. A large crowd gathered and a sum from local business men was divided among the six owners. The convoy proceeded as Monida pass cleared that day.

Jonathan A. Hill died at his Dillon home aged 92 after a lingering illness. Born October 3 1843 in Sharpsburg Maryland he served with northern forces and later moved west as a miner and farmer. Funeral services were at Brundage chapel with the American Legion providing military honors at Mountain View cemetery. no relatives were found.

Old-Time Beaverhead Rancher Henry Smallhorn Dies at 79
Henry G Smallhorn 79 native of Ireland died Sunday at Barrett hospital. Born January 12, 1866, he came to Beaverhead County about years ago and lived as a rancher. Smallhorn Canyon south of Dillon is named for him. He became an American citizen in 1888. A brother James Smallhorn survives. Funeral is Friday at 2 pm from Brunadge chapel with Rev H N Tragitt of St James Church officiating.
