Charles H Wheat Claimed by Death in Dillon Montana
Charles Herbert Wheat, a longtime Dillon resident and community figure, died at home on North Railroad Avenue after a lingering illness. Born May 6, 1884, in Virginia City, he lived in Dillon and on a Sape Creek ranch. He worked with S. S. Patterson at Dillon Bottling Works before ranching. Survived by widow, two children, mother, brother, and stepfather. Funeral Thursday at 2 PM at the Methodist church conducted by Rev T J Simons, with burial at Mountain View Cemetery under Dillon Lodge, BPO Elks.

Esteemed Dillon Matron Augusta Rose Dies After Illness
Mrs. Augusta Rose mother of Mrs. Harry L. Telford of Dillon died at the Telford home on Helena street after a lingering illness. A German native 57 years old she resided in Montana about thirty years, and formerly served as house mother at a Bozeman fraternity. She is survived by another daughter Miss Helen Rose and by son Herbert who with his wife plans to attend the funeral from Los Angeles.

Dillon Country Club Votes to Cut Dues to Ten Dollars
At the annual stockholders meeting held at the city hall the Dillon Country Club voted to reduce the annual dues from 20 to 10 dollars. Members who did not pay last year may join this year by paying 10 dollars and a 5 dollar membership fee. Alvin Jones was elected to the board for a three year term along with Dr W H Stephan Frank Bulger George Gosman and H M Brundage. About 380 attended as plans for activities and course improvements were discussed and a membership drive is planned for early season with a directors meeting on January 19.

Bi-Centennial Washington Stamps Arrive at Local Post Office
Postmaster J. C. Fuller reports a stock of twelve Washington bi centennial stamps now available at the local post office. The engravings portray various portraits of the Father of His Country, including boyhood likenesses, with the dates 1732 and 1932. The one cent stamp appears in a lighter green shade and all designs are highly detailed and attractive.
