London Telegraph reports Paris plans to increase the police force from 6100 to 7300, aiming to curb midnight burglaries garrotings and murders. The article notes patrol beats and guard coverage are stretched, gardens de la paix remain unchanged since 1871 despite a 400,000 population rise.
