Miss Condit led the domestic science service with a full menu while students and staff delivered speeches, music, and toast programs highlighting student achievement and school pride.

A 1275 pound pure-bred Hereford steer from Montana sold last week at the Northwest Livestock show in Lewiston Idaho to Stanton Cold Storage Co. at 105 per pound for 1338.75. The 14 month old animal may set a world price record for a steer.

Pathfinder Westward Routes Spark Wide Interest in Transcontinental Roads

The Pathfinders journey across the Northwest Pacific Overland Midland and Mid land trails totaled 12 678 miles. Westward routes drew strong backing from automobile clubs good roads associations and cities competing to be on the through lines. West of the Mississippi received especially keen attention and promises of future publication in 1913.

In a 15 minute span last Friday night a miner held up in Butte by a youth named John Sullivan. Officers were fired upon during the incident and Jack Wilson was nearby but not shot. Sullivan was not shot by an officer and accidentally shot his own hand.
