Thief Escapes After Eliel Store Break-In
An unidentified man broke through a plate glass door at the Eliel store on a Friday early hour, was pursued by Officers Suth erland and Bourquin who fired multiple shots, and vanished into the city streets. The robber stole about $13, a few items, and several clothes as police hunted through daylight with no capture. A second break-in at City Baking adjoining the store was blamed on the same burglar.

C Leonhard Miller longtime Beaverhead county resident died last Monday at his San Jose home where he had lived ten years He was born in Germany and was ninety years old He came to America during the gold rush and worked as a miner brick mason and blacksmith Later he lived in Dillon Montana before returning to California His funeral was set for 2 30 this afternoon at St James Episcopal with Rev H N Tragitt officiating He is interred at Mountain View beside his wife who died in 1917 He is survived by Mrs Murray a daughter Montana Murray a daughter and a son Jake Miller of Portland and several grandchildren.

Mrs J B McIntyre longtime Dillon resident native of Iowa died Friday at Grant Kennison's South Atlantic street home after a long illness. She was 85 and well known in the community. The body was shipped to Iowa for burial Saturday.

Prominent Beaverhead Ranchman George F. Gray Dies
George F. Gray, longtime Beaverhead county rancher and former Halfway House operator, died in Anaconda after a brief illness from pneumonia. Born April 18 1863 in Missouri he settled in Bannack and later Millpoint. Survived by wife two daughters son Guy Gray two brothers and two sisters. Funeral held at Mason ic Hall with burial at Bannack cemetery.
