Beaverhead County Deed Transfers Vast Montana Power Placer Claims
A large deed filed with the Beaverhead County clerk transfers the Montana Power Company assets to Montaus Power Transmission Company of New Jersey. Executed by O H McLeod and R L Clinton, the transaction covers about 1912 acres of placer ground in Beaverhead and Silver Bow counties including the aurum placer 46.14 acres and numerous other placer claims with varied acreages. The transfer follows a stockholders meeting on November 3 and 4 approving statutory deed transfer of all property.
