Beaverhead Nears Quota With Low Draft Exemptions
Beaverhead county stands out in Division No 1 for few exemptions on agricultural and industrial grounds. The first draft quota is 110 men, with 220 called for examination. Only about six exemption notices have been filed, and roughly the same number of appeals. The county, rich in farmland and rail lines, may meet its quota without a second exam call.
