The Dillon convention closes ballots with Reynolds as county commissioner nominee after multiple rounds. Delegates choose J. H. Mackay as administrator and Dr. C. W. Clark as coroner, while acclamations name J. H. Hartwig as surveyor and other officials.
The twenty second ballot results in Geo. M. Brown being elected by acclamation after the withdrawal of Dech ene Pond. A vote of thanks to presidents and secretaries followed and the convention adjourned. Some positions remained contested but overall harmony prevailed. The central committee was authorized to fill vacancies due to death or other causes.
Land Office in Helena Montana gives notice that Patrick Ward has filed for final proof to support his preemption claim. Proof will be given before the Clerk of Beaverhead County District Court in Dillon on September 28, 1BBC. Witnesses include Daniel Clapham Daniel Simpson Alpheus Decker Emerson WE. Protest or cross examination possible at the time and place under Interior Department rules. 34th S.W. Lancnonne, Register.
