A large audience gathered in Dillon as William Jennings Bryan arrived by train at 11 10 with his family and Montana congressman Charley Hartman Senator Lee Mantle and Gov R B Smith. Governor Smith introduced Bryan who praised Montana and urged free silver while Hartman Mantle and Mantle urged silver coalition unity. The reception featured cheers and patriotic decorations.
