Fire destroys two Armstead businesses total loss likely over 10000
Fire tore through Armstead early Tuesday morning destroying Rosenbaum's saloon and Inter Mountain Wholesale Liquor, with the blaze spreading fast. Officials suspect an incendiary origin as townspeople formed a bucket brigade to contain the flames, saving other structures. The total loss exceeds 10 000 and the deceased Building Trades Council member will likely be buried locally with expenses covered by the council. he was about 55 and formerly walked for Butte.
