Save Sugar Save Sugar An Article Prepared by the Federal Food Administration

The Food Administration in Montana urges a two pounds per person per month sugar allowance to stretch scarce supplies for allies until October. Europe targets two pounds for England, one and a half for France, and one for Italy. Home canning with minimal sugar now, adding sugar later, is urged to ensure winter needs. Hoarding is illegal and blamed for any shortage, while the military will receive full sugar shares if the homefront cooperates. The public is reminded of past wheat abstinence and asked to sustain similar restraint.
