Fire destroys O P Day home and community helps

A Sheridan village correspondent reports the complete loss by fire of O P Days residence after the Noon hour. The Day family, with a pensioner father and a carpet making mother, saved little Susie Bollinger and her trunk from the blaze. A relief fund quickly grows with over 350 raised, starting at 50 from a leading citizen. The note mentions mining activity nearby, railroad surveyors, schoolhouse expansion, and local deaths, accidents, and bonds of community support.
