Washington July 29 reports Prof Buffin of the Wyoming experiment station urges precise irrigation for alfalfa. He warns against overwatering and cold water impacts, recommends post harvest irrigation, fall watering with care to avoid winter freeze, and notes alfalfa uses about 2.22 feet of water per acre versus 2.74 for oats, wheat, barley.
