Ajax and Hecla Mines Compared in Beaverhead County
In Beaverhead County the Ajax and Hecla mines are debated over phrasing of their promise and potential. Proponents say Ajax may surpass Hecla with rich ore worth 10 to 12 dollars per ton, while skeptics note Ajax remains chiefly a prospect though mining revenue exists. Conflicting views persist on which mine may become dominant.
