Ford of Death Pennington Ford Dies in Dillon
Pennington Ford longtime local resident died at his east side home shortly before noon Wednesday after suffering a stroke last Saturday. He was 79, born in St Clair county Illinois, lived in Clinton Missouri before moving to Dillon about 1913. Survived by widow and eleven children including Sam Roy Ford Opal Nelson Nora Phillips Alfie Kohl William Charles Lydia Crockett Laurence Vanwinkle and Mary Weatherspoon Funeral arrangements not set.

Frank Najar aged about 63 died Friday evening about 6 o'clock at the county farm where he had been an inmate after illness forced him to give up harness maker work. Native of California he had lived in Dillon for years, coming from Idaho to work.

Penwell Addresses Dillon Taxation Concerns

A Plymouth coupe was stolen from Lieutenant Governor F A Hazel Bakers garage on South Pacific street after thieves tampered with a Buick ignition and drained the gas. Similar tampering targeted another Buick at the guild hall, suggesting the same culprits. A car theft was also reported near Lee Papticag’s home, with a midnight call to the sheriff’s office.

Friends recall the Rev. Father Daniel Foley pastor of St. Rose’s church for 15 years dying Wednesday at Kalispell after a brief pneumonia illness. Born in Ireland on April 14, 1877, he became a U.S. citizen here and served Whitehall then Kalispell hospital chaplain and Somers parish. Funeral at Kalispell and memorial services at St. Rose’s highlighted a life of faith and service.

She had kidney trouble five weeks but death came as a shock to friends at her Rife Street residence. Born August 27 1886 in Denver Colorado she lived in the city since 1910 except for years in Seattle. Mrs. Millie Costin Crowell formerly of Dillon died recently in Texas after a long illness. Born in 1863 in Mankato Minnesota she taught in Dillon Butte and other cities and served two terms as Beaverhead County superintendent. She is survived by sisters Mrs James Kirkpatrick Dillon and Mrs H J Thompson Billings with funeral rites in Roselawn cemetery San Antonio.
