Lower Marias irrigation district petition progress announced

Directors of the Marias Improvement Association report that 14 percent of landowners in the proposed project have signed petitions to form an irrigation district and steps are being taken to secure the required additional five percent under Montana law. They say enough acreage has been pledged to proceed.
