Impressive Statistics From McNary Dam Dedication
McNary Dam near OBE will be dedicated Sept 23 by President Eisenhower. The project uses 2,000,000 barrels of cement and 1,880,000 cubic yards of concrete to form a 14 000 kilowatt generator plant. It holds 100,000 tons of steel and 4,075,000 cubic yards of excavation.
