Best Ever Dillon Fair Roundup Tops Cow Herd Events
The Dillon fair showcased top rodeo results with Nelan Paede, Ben Bunza, and Art Guncay winning events. Beatrice Christman led the ladies race, while Tex Smith won broncho busting and Sandy scored a highlight with a 23 second bull dogging. The relay race saw Gunchay lead a P. and O. horses string, and the three day totals featured Gunday, Flynn, Lund, and Sanders in strong showings. The scientific baby contest drew about fifty entries with John Blake Mayfield winning 99 percent and multiple prizes awarded to top finishers. The Beaverhead Agricultural Exhibit impressed, with Frank Hazelbaker coordinating the grain and produce display shipped to Helena for the state booth.
