Autumn enrollment at Normal College nears 400 students
About 400 students enrolled for the autumn quarter at Montana State Normal College, with final counts due later in the week. Attendance is slightly below last year but meets expectations. Most students arrived Sunday, traveled from the depot with Dillon citizens providing free transport. Registration began Monday and classes started Tuesday with shortened periods for initial testing. The college pool reopened after summer closure. Mrs. May Collings travels to Detroit to visit her son for a month.

James Dunstan Dies in Ogden Utah
James Dunstan, longtime Beaverhead valley rancher, died last week in Ogden Utah at age 88. Interment was in Ogden. He was well known in Dillon and surrounding areas, maintaining ranch property in Beaverhead valley while living in Ogden. He had visited Dillon frequently since moving to Ogden several years ago.
