Union party tickets struck down in Montana convention fallout

Three Held On Hold-Up Charge Near Dillon

Mrs. Stella Emerson 43 of Butte died in the Wisdom Montana area after a car crash Sunday. Roy Priest said he tried to pass another vehicle near Ralston and Wisdom, his car overturned, Emerson suffered a head wound and leg laceration, treated at the scene and at St. James hospital in Butte. Dr. Gilbert J. Thomas aided at the scene and en route.

Electrical Storm Smashes Through Dillon Friday
A severe Friday morning electrical storm struck Dillon with continuous thunder and lightning for about 30 minutes. Lightning hit at least four city locations including near the Texaco station at Glenclaffe and Washington, and at Atlantic and Morse streets. A transformer failed on the West side and a heavy downpour followed. Deputy Sheriff Pat Flynn felt the concussion while driving past.

New Pipe Line Trench at Ermont Completed
Completion of a trench for a water line from Rattlesnake creek to the Ermont mine 16 miles west of Dillon was announced by Carl Mast. The two and a quarter mile trench was finished in under 30 days and will supply water via a four inch pipe with an electrical pump to the mine. About 70 men across two shifts are employed while a mill is under construction.
