Henry Lake Montana Memories and Sawtelle Legacy
Henry Lake in Montana, surrounded by grasslands and Sawtelle Peak, recalls the early Sawtelle settlement and Nez Perce conflicts. Once a thriving trout market and hunting grounds, the area shifted to ranching with 50 families now owning meadow ranches. The inlet tolls and Sawtelle’s fortitude, plus later settlers like Sherwood and Rock, shaped a prospering community.
