Meagher Elk Area No 4 along the Musselshell in Meagher county was expanded by adding land south of the original boundary. The enlarged area will allow elk hunting of any sex on Oct 15 and 16 and antlered bull elk from Oct 17 to Feb 28, 1953. The extension aims to keep elk off private property. Boundary changes shift the southern limit from Highway 6 to Willow creek road and follow Willow and Grasshopper creeks to Four Mile and Checkerboard creeks back to Highway 6 and the Wheatland county line.

State Game Warden Clarifies Upland Bird Limits in Montana
Montana upland bird hunters receive a clarification from State Game Warden R. H. Lambeth on bag and possession limits for ring necked pheasants and Hungarian partridge. Hunters may not possess more than three birds at any time, with combinations allowed as two of one species and one of the other or three of one species. The season runs Oct 26 to Nov 11, and only cock pheasants may be taken with shotguns no larger than 10 gauge and a maximum of three shells in barrel and magazine combined.

Cattle to be judged Sunday morning. More than 3000 head of commercial Aberdeen Angus feeder calves yearlings and cows entered by 23 consignors, says Bill Stevens association secretary.
