Pioneers Jules Schuler and Jules Guyaz Die in Beaverhead

Beaverhead county loses two well known residents in a short span. Frederick Schuler dies at his Booth Atlantic Street residence after a lingering illness, and Jules Guyaz perishes at his ranch home near Horse Prairie and Medicine Lodge creeks. Schuler, born in Germany 81 years ago, came to the United States as a youth and held trades as a cabinet maker and machinist before settling in Montana. Guyaz, born in Paris 83 years ago, came to the U.S. as a boy, served in the Civil War, and later managed the Horse Prairie Medicine Lodge road house.
