Certification opens again for Montana veterans to buy surplus typewriters
War Assets Administration regional director H C Helland announced immediate reopenings at six Montana offices Helena Butte Billings Great Falls Missoula Sidney for veterans to certify and purchase surplus typewriters. The program paused May 31 after veterans exceeded supply but will continue as allocations from other regions arrive. Applications may be made by mail or in person at the Butte Harbour Building seventh floor or through local veterans service officers James McCashin and Carle Robinson with Charles Dobbs in charge at Butte. Butte district counties include Silver Bow Beaverhead Deer Lodge Powell Granite Madison Jefferson.
