Montana Adopts State Song From Helena Hit
Ten thousand people at the state fair heard the song Montana become popular with its author Charles C. Cohen and composer Howard receiving praise. Governor Norris presented the state seal to designate Montana as the official state song while J J Hill supported broader distribution. The piece was sung at the Helena theater as crowds joined in and the Montana Booster’s club and the state militia adopted it. The tune is set to praise Montana with lines about blue skies and national pride.
