Care of floors and woodwork in a new home

A floor finish is protected by waxing with paste wax in a thin even coat. Polish after half an hour and dry, then clean with a dry broom cloth or treated mop. Rewax only in traffic lanes and near doorways, and polish weekly with a weight or polish machine. For badly suited spots use liquid wax made for floors.
