New License Plates Orange and Black
DEER LODGE Sept 26 Montana's automobile plates for 1930 will be black letters and figures on an orange background. Warden Austin Middleton says the orange is a decided contrast. About 125,000 plates were made for 1929 and the factory at the state prison has started on the new sets. Twenty five men are employed in the plant and about 30 in distributing plates. The prison population is the largest since the war and many men are unemployed.
