Reichle residents joined a large Thanksgiving dinner in Melrose for the Presbyterian church fundraiser. visits and family gatherings occurred across Reichle Dillon Butte and surrounding towns with multiple attendees and local events noted including a film show at Reichle and Ruhrer schools and a broken rail repair near Glen.
The policy states approval is required within fifteen days after treatment begins. Emergency and non-emergency requests for home-town medical care are not approved if a VA hospital or clinic is nearby. Non service-connected cases are ineligible for home-town medical care under the law.
Veterans Administration reminds disabled veterans they must obtain VA regional office approval before using home town doctors for treatment if the VA is to pay the bill. Emergencies require prompt approval within 72 hours for hospitalized care and written requests for out patient treatment.
