VFW Post Holds Meet Wednesday
Lloyd Whipple post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and its auxiliary held a joint social at the LOOF hall after the post meeting last Wednesday. At the business session candidates were initiated with Com. Don C. Campbell in charge. Larry Holloran and Doyie Gordon named athletic directors. Gordon and Kirk Fox named to an investigating committee. Lucille McPherson was high among the ladies and H Rundle high among the men, with Mrs. Chester White winning the door prize.

James Kurtz of Dillon a Montana State Normal College senior was elected president of the Beaverhead local of the Montana Education Association at a Friday afternoon meeting in the Bagley building. Edna Moe was elected delegate to the assembly in Helena December 6 and 7 with Mary Emerick as alternate. Melissa Minger became vice president and Florence Stoffler secretary treasurer.
