The Beaverhead club held its annual meeting with many members present. Charles A Smith was unanimously re elected as president for another year, with Vice President Scott and other officers also chosen. Edmund J Callaway praised for service. Pastime Theater Features Highlight Western Drama and Vaudeville

This week at Pastime theater offers The Skeleton in the Closet a Kalem western drama in two parts and Matrimonial Manoeuvres a Vitagraph comedy about a romance misstep. Friday and Saturday host McWilliams and Baldwin a vocal trio from the big time, plus Electra the human dynamo in a death defying act. Also shown are The Willful Colleen's Way and The Van Nostrand Tiara in dramas.

Elevation of Dillon Grain Elevator Begins Construction

Ground broken for the Dillon grain elevator foundation with a carload of cement received. Louis Buege of Minneapolis will oversee construction, after directors agreed to fund the project, reflecting public-spirited local leadership.

Dutch Amateer Wrestler Sentenced to Fifty Days Jail

Charles Leeney known as Dutch, an amateur wrestler and prizefighter, drifted into Dillon last summer and was jailed fifty days after being arrested for displaying his pugilistic skills in the redlight district. He appeared before Judge Phillips yesterday and chose jail over a $100 fine, then spent Thanksgiving at county expense.

Beaverhead County Sunday School Convention Program 1913

The Beaverhead County Sunday School Convention spans November 21 to 23, 1913 with devotional services led by ministers from local churches. It features addresses by Rev. Walter M. Jordan, Rev. J. A. Alford, Rev. A. W. Hamilton, Rev. Edward L. Mills, and Rev. J. A. Alford, plus music, announcements, committees, and discussions. All sessions held at the Presbyterian Church except Sunday evening at the Methodist Church.

Delegates Return From Bozeman Girls Vocational Congress

Miss Ilelen VFineh Miss Sophia Guyaz and Mrs Edmund J Callaway returned to Dillon Monday from Bozeman where they attended the Girls Vocational congress held on the 18 14 and 35 of this month The delegates report a delightful time They were met by a reception committee and lodged in private homes The three days included receptions meetings and visits to places of interest The congress aims to expose girls to vocations and professions open to young women and show possible paths to success led by Mrs Una B Herrick dean at Bozeman college The event marks the third such meeting in the state and was well conducted by its organizers.

Change in Train Time Affects Dillon Connections

The Oregon Short Line changes train No 2 schedule from Dillon arrival 8 30 to Butte departure 4 30 p m. The new timing links Ogden with Union Pacific No 6 eastbound and Salt Lake City with Pacific Limited No 19 to Los Angeles and Southern California. Passengers from Dillon at 7 24 will reach San Francisco by 8 50 a m and Los Angeles by 10 a m next day. Plans include a 10 section Pullman sleeper Butte to Los Angeles leaving Butte 4 80 p m arriving Salt Lake 8 00 a m and Los Angeles 10 00 a m.

Rural Schools Graded Standard by County Superintendent

Miss Margaret Ross the county superintendent visited Bishen and Drummy schools and graded them standard. Acting on Superintendent Davee’s suggestion, the rating covers building, grounds, equipment, athletics, community activities, and teacher quality. Ross will inspect Centennial valley schools and others until Thanksgiving for standard Montana rural school ratings.

All Stars Beat High School In Close Football Match

The All Stars defeated the High School 7 to 6 in a hard fought game. Gosman scored for the All Stars on a 50 yard run after a High School fumble, Wyatt tied the game for the High School with a late forward pass, and Domer Mosher officiated.

Successful Party of Hunters at Medi cine Lodge

A hunting party spent the weekend above the Rife ranch in Montana and killed ten deer. Mrs Sam Freeman took a nineteen flank duck the largest in the county in years. Miss Clara Adams and Ike Rife also scored, with Sam Freeman and Frank Rife each bagging several. Bert Williams had limited success with one deer. The group praised the region as prime hunting country.

Jensen Christensen and Elizabeth Hansen wed in city church

Jens Christensen and Elizabeth Hansen, young city residents, were married last Friday evening at the Methodist church by Rev. A. W. Hamilton. A wedding supper followed at the Sorenson home with sixty guests, and a dance in Burfiend's hall lasted until dawn as friends extend best wishes.
