A column discusses the Eisenhower administration adopting a Democratic congress as a stepchild likely to bring discord. It notes Sam Rayburn and Lyndon Johnson framing a broad program for farm, tax, defense, and living standards, with investigations of Dixon-Yates and FHA looming as Democrats seek oversight. The piece ends with tense Capitol-White House relations and a "put up or shut up" stance.
