Republicans gain control in Montana after strong returns
Nearly complete returns show Republicans winning enough seats to control both houses. The state legislature allocates six Republican House members to 83 Democrats and 1 farmer laborer in the Senate with 39 Republicans, 15 Democrats, and one farmer laborer. Beaverhead through Yellowstone districts listed with party results and several local social events noted.
