Two Win Two Six Dillon Contest At Hartwig Theater

Six Dillon youngsters competed in a backward memory con test at the Hartwig theater during the third Dillon gift night. Contestants drew on early life experiences to win the cash prize using milk bottles with nipples as the display item. Tom Millers Mrs D D Harroun and Mrs Collins each claimed two awards as thousands of audience members checked ticket numbers and cheered the results.

Well known Vocal Artist to Appear at College Auditorium

The Music News of Chicago notes Fenwick Newell, a popular vocal artist, will perform at the Grand Opera House in Nice. He will be assisted by Adele Eschwelt soprano Madge Williamson pianist and Raymond McCune violinist in a varied program of vocal and instrumental pieces.

Freight Train Hold-Up On Oregon Short Line Scene

A Monday night hold-up occurred on a southbound Oregon Short Line freight train near Apex grade. Two masked gunmen robbed about twenty passengers, taking items of value. ten passengers refused to stop and rode on to Dillon, where officers Bourquin and Gordon detained two suspects. The loot was not large and weapons were not recovered.

Glee Club Tour Planned for Nine Montana Cities

The Montana State Normal women's glee club directed by Miss Vivian Robe will tour in at least nine Montana towns, with a first-leg visit to Twin Bridges Sheridan and likely Virginia City and a later run to Whitehall Three Forks Manhattan Boulder and Helena. The group of twenty one performs seven acts including a gypsy string trio and a Russian ballet number, with rehearsals led by Miss Robe and a showcase at the Normal College auditorium.
