County Board to Seek Tax Deeds on Delinquent Property
The county board devoted a November meeting to delinquent property that will transfer to county ownership via tax deeds on November 9 including the Big Hole irrigation district. Treasurer Bertie Mathews was tasked to file deeds for acceptance at the December 7 session, per Attorney O'Rourke of Bankers Loan Mortgage Co. Also 24 old age pensions were cut, saving $600 monthly and $9,600 yearly. Justice L. P. Phillips received leave of absence. County physician bids will be opened next meeting. Arraignment in district court saw J. & O'Rourke plead not guilty to stealing a Studebaker. held on $1,500 bond for December trial in Grand Forks. The Mulaney suit against Adele Murray and the Curtis couple over a deed was heard last Monday.
