Dillon Beats Twin Bridges In Sunday Ball Clash

The Dillon team defeated Twin Bridges 14 to 9 in a Sunday game on the local grounds. Pitcher Collins anchored Dillon with solid support, while Thatcher struggled for Twin Bridges as the Bridges crowd eyed a rematch next Thursday and June 2.

Vaudeville at the Scenic Theatre by the Andersons

The four Andersons present a miniature musical comedy next Friday Saturday and Sunday at the Scenic Theatre. Mischievous Bob stars Master Ivan Anderson Muffet Ruth Anderson Angelina London Vivian Anderson and Dan Anderson in a lively farce. Three reels of motion pictures accompany Friday and Saturday shows with a different vaudeville act on Sunday. Admission is 25 cents for adults and 10 cents for children.

City to Assume Control of Mountain View Cemetery

The Mountain View cemetery now run by trustees will be owned and operated by the City of Dillon. Plans seek city acceptance of the property, pending petitions and deeding, with water rights already being abstracted for transfer.

Field Day at Normal College Highlights 1912 Commencement

Field Day on the Normal College campus drew over a thousand spectators including parents and city residents. Students from the Training School and Normal College performed in playground and gymnastic drills, with seniors winning the silver loving cup in a multi-class track meet featuring numerous events and records.

Engineer A T Kellum of Lima Dies in May

A T Kellum longtime Oregon Short Line engineer from Lima died Monday morning May 27 at his home after years of illness. Born 1854 in Indianola Iowa he married Annie Keellen in 1878 and had six children. Kellum joined the Short Line in 1883 and served as passenger engineer until paralysis struck three years ago. He was a lifelong Methodist and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Interment will be in Pocatello with funeral arrangements pending.

Steers Bring $8.00 on Chicago Market

Twelve cars and 238 Montana steers sold Monday through the National Livestock Commission Co at 8 cents straight. The 1,280 pound cattle from J Ki Morse Dillon Montana, north of Idaho, were in excellent condition after grazing on wild Montana hay. Cattlemen praise Morse's ranching and note the price gap to corn fed steers.

Fate of Clark McNinch Real Estate Reaches Judge’s Court

Judge Poindexter heard the fate of the Clark McNinch property last Saturday after two ranch transactions were finalized. One six hundred acre parcel sold to Sam M. Johnstone of Butte for 16000 dollars, another sold to John Downing of Dell for 3360 dollars. Modern Woodmen plan annual memorial day services next Sunday at the Baptist church with morning worship and afternoon graveside rites for departed members.
