Pioneer W C Orr Dies Suddenly in Beaverhead Valley
Beaverhead mourns W C Orr longtime Montana stockman born in Ireland in 1820 who moved to Beaverhead in 1864. He and partner Phil Poindexter built large cattle horse and sheep herds and real estate holdings. Orr's death followed a week in bed from heart disease at his home in Dillon.
